(August 21, 2008) Sometimes, a piece of technology emerges that solves a problem you never thought would get solved. When the solution is really good, it opens the door to thinking about other similar problems and their solutions. Shazam is a mind-blowing application for the Shazam
listens to 10 seconds of a song an tells you what it is. It works in restaurants, movie theatres, malls, cars. I use it a couple of times a day to get the name of the song playing in the background.
I’m sure the people in the restaurant thought I was nuts.
At least some of them share my problem. I hear songs in the background all of the time. Starbucks, watching a movie, listening to the radio. I always ask “What’s that tune?” No one ever knows.
Now, I Monster bought Trovix, a very, very smart move on their part.
