Hi John,

Love the series. Obviously a great deal of thought went into the analysis of the research. Taking this part in conjunction with your Shallybot concept, and it seems that identifying communities of practice to source from will be more zip code table logic than strictly skills based. The sociology behind how people are gathering and organizing is facinating both nationally and locally. This is clearly a factor for companies as well as they decide where their next expansion will be located, although it seems counterintuititive to the law of supply and demand. When reading a press release as to why a given company chose a give location, you most often see that availability of talent and skilled workers sited as a key factor. However, if lowering your labor cost is your driving factor in the location decision, it would stand to reason that it makes more sense to relocate your software development operations to Cleveland. You stand to lower your labor cost and decrease attrition.
