In 1994, I founded interbiznet. We were very early to the game. I tell people that we were the 50th website. While that's a small exaggeration, it was very definitely the early days of the web.
Like most companies, interbiznet went through some machinations as it found its way. The original idea was that the company was a directory and advice enterprise. The earliest versions of the website show a company that worked in a variety of niches. We quickly discovered our strengths were the online recruiting, marketing and job hunting markets.
Ultimately, interbiznet became the news outlet of record for the Electronic Recruiting Industry. For nearly 15 years, I wrote an article each day on some aspect of the business in the pages of the Electronic Recruiting News. We delivered what is now called "sourcing" training programs around the country and in Europe for several years.
interbiznet published five annual editions of the "Electronic Recruiting Index". Each volume presented the latest trends and vendors in the online Recruiting Industry. The interbiznet "Electronic Recruiting Index" chronicled and defined the evolution of online employment practices. At any given point in time, interbiznet hosted three newsletters, an annual publishing project and some form of training. We progressed from two day sourcing seminars to industry analysis. The Electronic Recruiting News carried analysis while the Bugler focused on the mechanical details of the industry's growth and development.
In 2007, I sold my interest in the company. interbiznet continues to publish both the Electronic Recruiting News and the Bugler.
For your convenience, here is a list of the articles I wrote about Electronic Recruiting during my tenure at interbiznet. They are also included in the search engine.
