Steve is a partner at The Starr Conspiracy, the world’s premier marketing and advertising firm focused exclusively on human capital software and services. The Starr Conspiracy has worked with more than 300 clients around the globe in the human capital space, including some of the industry’s biggest and best-known brands.

Since 2001, he has specialized exclusively in human resources and human capital-focused communications consulting after nearly a decade as a newspaper journalist. He has also earned numerous awards for his business writing and his blogging.

He loves sausage and respects the law and wants to know how both are made anyway. He knows where the sidewalk ends. He thinks The Clash is the only band that mattered. He eats tamales at Christmas. He believes that most of life is just showing up and not being a jerk.

Steve received his B.A. in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He spends his free time with his wife, Felicia, scouting for midcentury modern furniture, and with his daughter, Julia, attending Longhorn football games and continuing the never-ending quest for cool records.
