Introducing Small Scenarios for Changing TimesHRExaminer v10.68 for April 17, 2020 |
John Sumser, Heather Bussing, and Michael Kannisto, Ph.D. have teamed up to create a new series called Small Scenarios for Changing Times. Rather than hyperbolic claims that HR’s time has finally arrived, they’re going to explore the likely issues in the near to medium term. Through these small, tactical questions, they hope to help you envision the coming realities. Their first issue is now available and it’s a free download. Introducing Small Scenarios. Jeff Hunter is a seasoned innovator who founded Talentism six years ago after stints at Electronic Arts, Dolby, and Bridgewater Associates. Today, his team are using their experience with realizing human potential to help navigate the Coronavirus crisis. Talentism: Principles for Purpose in a Pandemic. Michael Kannisto, Ph.D. writes, “We may find that the use of these tools is completely unfounded, and creates at best a random outcome (and at worst a tool for automating systemic discrimination).” Maybe We Need An AI Safe Word? John Sumser speaks with Mike Hudy & Isaac Thompson, of Modern Hire. This is a rich conversation about the real-world benefits and limits of using AI in hiring. Listen to Isaac Thompson & Mike Hudy on HRExaminer Radio. On HR Tech Weekly: Stacey and John discuss the Coronavirus Work-At-Home Reality vs. Old Work Expectations and Measurement, WalkMe, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Asia HCM, Socrates, and Capacity. |
