Company Description

Founded in 2012, Athena Karp’s HiredScore is one of the foundation elements in New York’s burgeoning tech scene. HiredScore’s mission is to help large companies improve the hiring process to achieve recruiting goals by deeply integrating into their recruiting and employee data. Their solutions are configured for each client, including a custom-for-client Artificial Intelligence “Brain” to automatically capture each company’s unique culture, deep and seamless integration with client’s ATS, CRMs, HCM, and VMS to ensure the highest quality of sourcing results for internal, external, and flexible talent, and compliance focus on bias mitigation.

HiredScore is one of 30 or so sourcing automation vendors to emerge in the past seven or eight years. As the employment market tightened, the value proposition for sourcing technology become more attractive to the market.

Although there are a multiplicity of theories, strategies, and technical implementations, each of the vendors offers a solution to some of the problem associated with finding and matching candidates to jobs. The players in the segment range from Google and IBM to the RPO industry to other candidate discovery and matching tools.

It’s easiest to think of the segment as candidate discovery and matching. It’s a sophisticated form of silo-specific search. In this application the data acquisition function spends its cycles gathering and collating data about people. The query end matched job description related data to that overall framework. It’s a rapidly evolving arena

Why This Matters

We chose HiredScore because it demonstrates that a small company can still navigate this terrain. With over $10M in revenue, HiredScore is proving out the value of agility.
